My mother was Marianne Foyster, who lived in the most haunted house in England from 1930 to 1935. Borley
Rectory remains world famous as the site of the most intense poltergeist and spiritual
phenomena ever reported. Paranormal researcher Harry Price became famous for his investigation
and books about the rectory. Photo.(520k)
Reverend Lionel Foyster and his wife, Marianne, moved into Borley Rectory October 16, 1930. They left exactly five years later. During their stay, over 2,000 alleged paranormal events took place. Years later, Marianne discussed how many of those events could be explained naturally, but she could not explain all of them.
More history on the next page.
Lionel died in 1945. Marianne then married an American
G.I. -Robert O'Neil from Minnesota - and adopted me. I became Vincent O'Neil,
and we came to America in 1946.
Marianne's life in America was completely different
than her life in England. I have written a book about her life and it is
now in search of a publisher. Excerpts from The Most Haunted Woman in England are linked to this page.
I am also in the process of writing an extremely comprehensive book about Borley. It will contain much new information never
printed before. Excerpts from The Ghosts That Will Not Die are also available.
Another book will concentrate on Marianne's philosophy.
She wrote poems and clever sayings, which I have bound together with clip
art. I am also looking for a publisher for this book.
My next effort will chronicle how I came to discover
all these secrets and describe my life. For a sneak preview, turn to my
secret page.
